Second Stage Round 6: Cedevita Jr. - Siroki 96-80

There was a minor upset in Zagreb where 5th ranked BosnianSiroki (2-4) was defeated by seventh ranked Croatian Cedevita Jr. (2-4) 96-80 on Tuesday. Cedevita Jr. made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Cedevita Jr. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Mislav Brzoja (198-1994, college: Evansville, agency: PEPI SPORT) scored 18 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Martin Jelic (198-1999) chipped in 20 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Croatian center Darko Planinic (212-1990, agency: Interperformances) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Josiah Strong (193-1999, college: Colorado St.) scored 15 points. Five Cedevita Jr. and four Siroki players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cedevita Jr. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Helios Suns and Siroki.
